Cookies and local storage
Last updated: 2026-10-13
RingUp only uses the cookies and browser storage the service needs to work. They need no consent under CNIL rules, and we use no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
On this site
NEXT_LOCALE remembers the language you chose, until you close the browser.
ringup_session keeps you signed in to your account, for up to 30 days or until you sign out.
Cloudflare Turnstile, on the sign-up and sign-in forms only, may set its own cookies to tell people from bots.
On the customer page
ringup_locale remembers the language the customer chose, for one year.
If the customer turns on alerts, the browser stores a notification subscription and a small service worker so the phone can ring when the page is closed. Turning alerts off or clearing the site's data removes them.
On staff devices
ringup_device remembers that this phone or tablet belongs to the shop, for up to 400 days.
ringup_staff keeps the staff member signed in for their shift, up to 14 hours.
ringup_staff_locale remembers the device's language, for one year.
The staff page keeps the last queue and any taps made without a connection in the browser's local storage and IndexedDB, so nothing is lost when the network drops. They are cleared as soon as they are sent.
Managing cookies
You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. The service then forgets your language, and you will need to sign in or pair the device again.
