Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-10-13
These terms govern the use of RingUp by businesses ("you") that open an account with Abdellah HMACHE EI ("we"). By creating an account you accept them on behalf of your business. RingUp is not offered to consumers.
1. The service
RingUp lets your customers follow their order or turn on their own phone and be alerted when it is ready, through a web page opened from a QR code, a web notification, a text message or a screen in your premises. Features depend on your plan.
Web notifications and text messages depend on the customer's phone, browser, network and settings. We do our best to deliver every alert but cannot guarantee that a given alert reaches a given person.
2. Your account
You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by your staff with their PINs and by systems using your API keys. Keep PINs and keys confidential and tell us at once if you think they were compromised.
You must be authorised to bind the business you sign up for.
3. Free trial
New accounts get a 14-day free trial without a card. At the end of the trial the service keeps working for 7 days so you can choose a plan; after that it pauses until you subscribe. We may refuse or end a trial that is used abusively.
4. Plans, prices and payment
Prices are in euros. No VAT is charged (VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code). Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance; text messages are billed monthly in arrears at the published rate per country, within the monthly cap you set.
Payment is taken by our payment provider. If a payment fails we will tell you and retry; if it still fails the account moves to a grace period and then pauses.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period; you may cancel before it starts.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account. Monthly plans end at the end of the current month and yearly plans at the end of the current year; paid periods are not refunded, except where the law requires it or we end the service without fault on your part.
6. Acceptable use
You use RingUp only to tell your own customers that their order or turn is ready, and for related service messages. You must not use it to send advertising, to contact people who did not ask for it, or for anything unlawful.
You must not put health information, payment details or other sensitive data in ticket fields. In clinic mode, a first name is the most you may store about a patient.
You must not attempt to access other accounts, overload the service, or work around plan limits or rate limits.
7. Your data and your customers' data
You remain responsible for the personal data of your customers and staff. We process it only on your instructions and as described in the data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms.
You may export your data while your account is active. After the account closes we keep it for 90 days in case you return, then delete it, except what we must keep by law (such as invoices).
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep RingUp available at all times but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, preferably outside busy hours.
If we remove a feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
9. Liability
We are liable for direct damage caused by our proven fault. We are not liable for indirect loss such as lost revenue, lost customers or reputational harm, nor for alerts that do not arrive because of a phone, network, browser or third-party service.
Our total liability over any twelve months is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service during that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or remains unpaid, after notice when the situation allows it. We may end these terms for serious or repeated breaches.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before material changes take effect; if you do not agree you may cancel before then.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably will be brought before the tribunal judiciaire de Nanterre.
